About Twirly Whirly Wizard
The action role-playing game Twirly Whirly Wizard is a roguelike reminiscent of the classic Vansaba. Players can choose from classes such as Wizard, Ranger, and Warrior. The game features diverse environments, including grasslands and volcanoes. A captivating element of role-playing games is the ability to pre-configure the skill deck, which removes the need for on-the-fly decision-making during character development.
During the battle phase, the character is maneuvered by dragging the screen. A charged attack skill is automatically activated once its charge animation (located in the top left) is complete. With waves of attackers coming from all directions, quick movement is essential, and luck plays a part. To level up your character, you must collect a specific number of blue balls dropped by defeated foes. Three skills will be randomly displayed, and you can select one to enhance while awaiting the next wave of enemies.
Initially, I found it challenging when I entered my first combat without any preparation. However, once the skill deck was established, the game became more manageable, and the thrill of facing a large number of enemies at once was significantly heightened. The gameplay resembles Vampire Survivor, but the goal is to pre-construct skill decks and minimize the randomness in character transformations during battles. With numerous potential abilities, the option to hide unused skills and highlight preferred ones is beneficial.
Before the game starts, you can switch the operating character and job, which changes the passive skill. Additionally, pre-battle planning can be utilized for decks that aid in acquiring and developing in-battle abilities. Some skills can be eliminated or selectively prioritized for focused training. Furthermore, a persistent training menu allows you to level up and acquire powerful new abilities to enhance your existing skills and unleash devastating attacks.
